How It Works
The Community Collections Program is your opportunity to help create custom-designed apparel inspired by the lakes, bays, towns, and communities that make Muskoka so special. You submit the ideas, rally support, and we’ll bring the designs to life once we reach enough pre-orders.
It’s simple! Use the form on this page to suggest your community name and tell us why it’s special. Once submitted, we’ll review your idea and consider it for the next phase.
If your idea is chosen, we'll create a page with a form for you to share with friends, family and neighbours to vote for that community. We'll send you a link to the form to share.
Once a community has garnered enough votes, we’ll create a design and launch a pre-order campaign. The design will only go into production if we reach a minimum of 100 pre-orders. This ensures that we’re producing sustainably and only making what’s truly wanted.
Not necessarily. Submitting an idea is the first step, but we’ll only move forward with ideas that are a good fit for the program. Once selected, we’ll create a support page for your idea to gauge interest from the community. In order for the program to make sense for us, we require a minimum amount of pre-orders (100) to move into production.
Spread the word! Share your community submission with friends, family, and neighbours. Use social media, email, or word of mouth to rally supporters and drive pre-orders for your collection.
We will also do some promotion and marketing on our end to assist.
No. For each community that has garnered enough interest, we will create a design and colour option that will be produced. We will do this prior to opening up the pre-orders so you will know exactly what you will be purchasing. The custom choice you will have is for size and quantity.
Absolutely! You’re welcome to submit multiple ideas, but each idea will be reviewed individually, and only selected ones will move forward to the support phase.
We would love to say all, but in reality this will be a tough program to manage and produce. We will likely do a few communities per month. They will be selected based on their support in the voting system, so be sure to share with your friends, family members and neighbours.
Yes, our focus is on celebrating the incredible diversity and beauty of Muskoka’s lakes, bays, and towns. If your idea represents a place in Muskoka, we’d love to hear about it!
Our brand is built on quality products and customer satisfaction. We will use the same base products you've come to love and trust for this program.
Also, we will also temporarily suspend the program if we get overwhelmed so we can make sure we keep up with time and quality expectations. If this suspension happens it will just be short to allow us to catch up.
Pre-Ordering
As you can imagine, there are literally hundreds or thousands of unique communities in Muskoka. We couldn't possibly design and manufacture and stock inventory for each and every one.
We created this program so that you we could ensure there is enough interest, up front, for it to make business sense to design and manufacture the products.

You are charged on the day you day you make the pre-order.
There is a significant amount of work from preparation, design and production to bring each Community to life. This program doesn't work financially without minimum commitment.
We are referring to products. For example if someone orders 10 hoodies that will count as 10 towards the total?
We haven't figured this out yet. We will learn this together. There will be a sweet spot to allow enough time to hit the minimum threshold.
Pre-ordering will be open for a minimum of 3 weeks.
However, we cannot leave them open indefinitely in fairness to those that have pre-paid. If a program isn't successful, those that pre-paid deserve a refund in a timely manner.
If we don’t hit the 100 pre-order threshold, we won’t produce the product. Anyone who pre-ordered will receive a full refund or store credit, depending on their preference.
We will send out an email to everyone that pre-ordered before we cancel the program letting them know how many we are short, to see if we can move it across the finish line.
You can request a refund by emailing us at info@puremuskoka.com while pre-orders are still open. Once pre-orders are closed, you cannot request a refund.
Production & Shipping
Our goal is to have all products produced and shipped to you 4-6 weeks after we close the pre-orders.
We will ship the orders as soon as the production is complete. Typically 4-6 weeks after pre-orders are closed. You will receive and email, complete with tracking info as soon as your order has shipped.
Sizing, Returns and Exchanges
Because we don't carry them in store and they are being produced specifically for you. Therefore, we cannot offer returns or exchanges.
Unfortunately because the Community Collection items are final sale, you will have to find a friend, family member or neighbour to pass the item along to.
Do your sizing research ahead time on the product page with the provided size chart.
Our Community Collection hoodies and t-shirts will be based on the same product as our Signature Collection Hoodies and our standard t-shirts you've come to know and love. If you're in Muskoka, you can always stop by the store and try on those products in person, if you're unsure.
No. This program is pre-order only. Once we've taken the pre-orders, we will close them off and produce and ship the orders.
We will likely not revisit a community for a year or two, so be sure to order when it's available.
